One Single Tear

The inset of a prophecy brings a fighter to his knees,
The wound, blood red in a stale loveless atmosphere,
With honour and strength do love, a once bitten morality,
Now only a cruel misleader, a fading hopeless evil.
To lose one as sweet as you, a death within my heart,
A fight so long in bloodshed, for a wasted emotional corpse,
A death, a dagger made pain, a dagger stained with love.
A single magpie for a summer song,
A holiday hoax for an uncertain broken heart,
How can a sudden be so? How can there not be an us?
To bow to a mightier foe can show respect in spite,
But the haunting strength does dwell,
To return…to live again.
Farewell, that so painful direction,
And to me its lyrical target,
To kill a love so strong, yet so one sided,
Can bring only the misery in deserved weight,
Yet it will not rise to kill, but to nourish,
To retrieve, to fulfil its only loving fate
